Jacob Swette, LAC

Jacob Swette, LAc, is the Lead Licensed Acupuncturist at Essentia Health who joined in 2017. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science from Southwest Acupuncture College, and he finished his doctorate through Pacific College of Health and Science. He also obtained a diploma from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage. Jake completed notable acupuncture training internships in OB/GYN, Tuina physical medicine, as well as sport medicine at the University of Colorado Dal Ward Sports Center, the only sports medicine training program of its kind in North America. He also has spent significant time studying and training at the Wang Ju-Yi Applied Channel Theory Research Center in Beijing, China, where he was taught relatively unknown acupuncture skills for the treatment of chronic conditions. He deeply enjoys getting to know patients and takes a holistic approach to care. No matter what condition he is treating, whether it be a women's health …issue, digestive discomfort, anxiety, migraines, nausea, or pain, he offers techniques and guidance that help patients achieve greater degrees of health and balance at all levels of their lives. Outside of work, Jake enjoys fly fishing, martial arts, chess, and furthering his knowledge of Chinese Medicine, science, and philosophy.
