Dr. Jacqueline P Figueroa, DC

Dr. Jacqueline damaged 7 discs in my spine. She caused 3 bulging discs in my neck, 2 herniated discs in my low back and 2 herniated discs in my midback—one pressing into my spinal cord. My doctor didn’t even want to scan my midback because he said it’s hard to injure because it’s flat and protected by ribs. Dr. J also injured my diaphragm so I couldn’t take a full breath for months and wrecked my GI system through organ inflammation and nerve damage. I have to be on 5 Rx, a strict diet, and qualify as a candidate for GERD surgery but still have embarrassing uncomfortable symptoms. Before her I didn’t need so much as a Tums. While seeing Dr. J I brought up concerns 3 times about new problems under her care, and she got very defensive and shut me down. (Once she said it was aging even though she’d just told me weeks earlier I was too young for PT.) Last time I saw her I told her my PCP said she’d caused colon inflammation and she got cold and angry. That settled any doubts… about what mattered more to her, my safety or her ego. A repeat MRI done a year later showed nothing healed and two orthopedic specialists said the damage is permanent. I’d thought Dr. J having a degree, good reviews and seeming nice meant I was safe. At least a few times daily I regret walking through her door. By now I’ve regretted meeting her literally a thousand times. My hope is people reading this will know to avoid her and be spared the same pain, damage, and regret.
