A doctor/patient relationship is one of give and take and respect. The doctor lacked respect for the patient, expected me to listen to her arrogant assumptions regarding my health and prattled on and on. She did not explain anything and appeared to resent when questions were asked or suggestions made. She became insulting and rude when speaking of senior citizens. When I responded or answered a question, she responded in a superior manner indicating that she was superior and my response was wrong or there was something wrong with me. She made incorrect assumptions indicating I had an illness I don’t have, which was shown negative by tests. I left her office feeling like a worthless slug based on how I was treated. Patients seek medical input to assist with their health for which they get paid. It is our health and our decision; we will make the decisions to either take their advice or not. I will say the staff was wonderful - she could take lessons from them.

She’s thorough, right on with her treatments, respectful and listens very well. I never feel like she needs to hurry away from me and she addresses things doctors have missed with me for years. She really cares about her patients.

Dr. May recently resigned from Cottonwood Medical. She has been our family doctor since she started there and we will miss her terribly. Only the best wishes for the most caring, down to earth doctor I've ever known.
