Can one moment dictate the whole span of someone’s worth of all their moments of a job well done? I think not honestly. Overall, well she prescribed right. I completed college during the time frame. So I would rate it 4 stars.

I came back from work from another state and was told to go see my diabetic doctor and then to Dr. Mouzon the next day. I went to my Diabetc doctor, and he had me noted to put everything I’m being prescribed. So I filled out the paper as normal with diabetes and everything, and he said “we’ll take care of all that for ya.” I didn’t think nothing of it as unusual, and the next day went to see the Dr. Mouzon. The thing is the diabetic doctor already filled the presciptio. even the one the psychiatrist prescribed the previous months. She said “what do you mean, you already have them filled? Bring them to me!” I said “uh, no mam?” I just paid 260 for that? She said “bring them to me now!” And then her secretary came in and said “uh he has a choice to pick between two doctors.” I said “well I guess no than,” and then she yelled “Well don’t come back!” And that was it. I calmly left, but I thought it was unprofessional to start yelling at a patient who was calm. So I left all because I went… to my diabetic doctor who happened to prescribe me what I was already on? This is bogus. Trying to get me to take something back to pay more, for what I already got because it wasn’t the “right” “doctor?” Or so she thought? I was just filling what I was naturally suppose to do anyway.

I saw Dr Mouzon for over 10 years. She was unfailingly professional, warm and caring. You couldn't find a better shrink. was heartbrokrn when she left private practice and went to work for the university.

I have been a patient of Dr Mouzon for about 8 years now and she is FANTASTIC! She and her staff have always been very knowledgable and really gone out of their way for my convience. I have only been to one other psychiatrist due to a move out of town and it was not a good experience. For that reason, I went without seeing someone else because I liked Dr Mouzon so much I waited until I moved back to SC to start seeing her again. I was so use to seeing someone like Dr Mouzon who really took the time to listen but also did not waste my time. She is easy to talk to and she knows what she is doing. I would, and have, recommended her to others. Please disregard this other review. This is the first time I have ever heard an ugly review about this doctor. And I know friends, family and patients that see her and like her as much as I do. Dr J. Mouzon is great!
