About the Doctor
Dr. Jackie Palaisa is originally from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She joined the Navy after attending the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and served on active duty as a general dentist for seven years. She was selected by the Navy to attend an orthodontic residency program at West Virginia Univeristy and received her Master's Degree in Orthodontics and Certificate in Orthodontics in 2005. She spent three years as an orthodontist in the Navy. After leaving the service, Dr. Palaisa, her husband and three children moved to Frostburg. Dr. Palaisa received her board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics in 2006 and has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Palaisa is proud to be a member of the Frostburg community.
