Dr. Jacqueline K Souza, MD

We brought out (almost) 2 year old son to Swedish because he had a really bad cough that, at one point, seemed to be going away but never did and started getting worse. We couldn’t get an appointment with his regular doctor but we were able to get an appoint with Dr Souza. On the way, our car broke down but we were able to have our family come and help us out and get him to his appointment as his cough seemed very serious. Due to the car trouble, my wife and son were 15 minutes late to the appointment. Dr. Souza refused to see my son and turned him and my wife away over 15 minutes, 10 of which (at least) they would have been sitting in the waiting room waiting for her. The receptionist called her and told her he seemed “pretty sick” and she still said no. What kind of doctor turns away a toddler who is sick, during a pandemic for being a few minutes late because of car trouble? Dr Souza is that kind of doctor obviously and wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. One star is being extremely… generous

I've taken my son to Dr. Souza on several occasions and she has been great! She's kind and gentle and makes my infant son feel at ease at every check up. My son was seen my Dr. Souza as his primary doctor was unavailable when he was rushed in for a high fever and I took such a liking to her that I've decided to make her his primary doctor going forward.

*Because of this "doctor," I will never have use of my right index finger again on my dominant hand. In the ER, this doctor treated me, an Emergency Room patient with an almost completely severed right index finger, by stitching it, asked me if I could do what she does, laughed and joked, and sent me home. Furthermore, there was a delay and refusal to send my medical report to my Physician and not releasing that report (several requests and attempts) caused my treatment to be delayed and therefore the injury could not be repaired...appauling and harmful medical treatment. severed bone and ligament and unfortunately Rush Copley Aurora, IL had dr souza, a truly unethical and incompetent physician on staff.

Doctor gives false diagnosis. Doctor showed no empathy.
