VERY PROFESSIONAL, HE KEPT EVERYONE IN THE LOOP AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON BEFORE AND AFTER SURGERY

My husband needed an emergency lap, colon resection, and stoma. Dr. Joo was on call and responded quickly and called me to follow up with me personally and answered any questions I had. He was patient and gave me all the time I needed even though I knew he pushed surgeries that day to attend to my husband's emergency situation. I am very pleased with him and his work.

I am still coping with complication of a surgery that Dr. Joo performed 6 months ago. I have gone to another surgeon in the area not affiliated with him for a second opinion, not only did I get help from the second colorectal surgeon, but It was also brought to my attention that I may be the victim of Dr. Joo's medical negligence and malpractice. Dr. Joo was not interested in my care at all, he did not bother to talk to my wife after surgery nor myself, my surgery was painful and my pain was not well controlled, and as it turns out I have to endure another operation to correct the operation the Dr. Joo performed, and depending on what the new surgeon finds inside I may or may not make a full recovery. Sensitive surgery to discuss publically but please do not let this hack operate on you or anyone you may care about, you can ask for another surgeon it is your right as a patient

I was suffering with a fistula and hemorrhoids, and the fistula was there for couple of years. I saw at least two other surgeons who didn't find the fistula, not visible externally. After hearing me explain the problem, Dr. Joo took me into surgery to explore under anesthesia, found the fistula and fixed it. Even the doctors who are family friends didn't see the need. Have been trouble free for 10 years now.

Was admitted from ER. He said cat scan was unremarkable. Later released. Went 5 more months with abdominal pain. Went to another surgeon. There was a hernia causing the pain. Dr. Joo, apparently didn't want to take care of it.

Rush Copley ER assigned this butcher to my 6 year son for appendicitis. Dr. Joo made a very large cut / scar that my son will have trouble hiding his entire life. The cut is almost 5 inches long, my son is 6 years old and the scar from his appendicitis is half way across his stomach. My niece is the same age and had the same operation in peoria illinois a year ago and she had 3 little cut marks each the size of a pinky finger nail. We are very disappointed. My brother had a hernia and the same ER assigned him Dr. Joo, My brother had a big scar too, and went back to surgery 6 weeks after to another doctor because a part of his intestine got closed into the stitches Dr. JOO put in to sew up his hernia. Don't let an ER assign your doctor
