Dr. Jae Chul Kim, MD

I visited with Dr. Kim one time and had a very unpleasant experience. He does not respond well to disagreeing with him, and consistently interrupts you when trying to fully answer a question or explain your thinking. He appears to have an issue with anyone challenging his authority. But the worst part of the experience was that he appears to blame patients for not getting help in the past vs. reinforcing that they are seeking help now. This may be a good doctor for some but his approach will not work for many. Proceed with caution.

I believe he is 79 years old. He should have retired years ago. His English is terrible and he has a heavy accent, hard to understand. I believe he is from South Korea. He has a bad attitude, unfriendly and rude. He said in my office I asked the questions and you answer. All he wants to hear is yes or no. If you try to explain him something, he says and did not ask you for a comment. For example he ask me if I drink pup. I said I drink sparkling water and tonic water. He said this is not what I asked you, I don't care what you drink. After a few minutes I knew that I will never see this guy again, but I staid for 40 minutes just to see how much worse in can get. He told me I talk to loud and have a bad attitude. I got to see him after 2 days after my therapist made the appointment. I don't believe he has very many patients. Nobody in his right mind would go back to him.

I have been with Dr. Kim for many years and can with honesty and God as my witness, because he is in my life I have not done anything irrational and have survived all the crap thrown at me throughout the years. Always giving God the glory first I know He placed Dr. Kim in my life so I would make it. Dr. Kim doesn't tell you what to do, he works with you to help you see and find the solutions needed. Taking it one step at a time. I would give him a hundred star rating if possible.... He is a wonderful human being to start with and that makes him a great doctor.

Dr Kim was very thorough in taking my history, listening to symptoms. When he told me I must avoid all caffeine, I explained that I used very little, only 1 cup per day. He said that if I didn't want to follow his guidance, I should see another Dr. Needless to say, a one time visit was enough.
