Dr. Jae H Sim, MD

For my entire pregnancy I complained about a horrible neverending migraine to this woman. She would put me on antibiotics to treat nasal infections I didn't have. I would be crying to her and she would yell at me to toughen up and deal with it, that the pain would be over after my pregnancy. She also said it was because I was overweight. A week and a half after the birth of my son I was rushed into the ER of Swedish Seattle to undergo emergency brain surgery to remove a goose egg sized tumor from the ventricle of my brain. At that time they told me I had a 5 to 10% chance to survive which luckily I did and am now able to warn you to avoid this physician. She does not listen to her patients nor care about their opinions. She definitely does not care about how they FEEL.

I have been a patient for awhile, but thinking of changing. During appointments I feel rushed, a bit intimidated/scolded when I do get in to see her, although she is usually out of office anymore when I do call to make appointments. Perhaps I just need a change, but anticipate a difficult time finding a good, caring doctor these days.

Took the time to review last few blood test, very proactive with next steps for reducing BP, felt she listened and reacted to what was being said and not just put through robotic steps.

Ugh. I try to be a positive person, but I cannot be positive about this doctor. She is rude and, quite simply, bizarre. I do not trust her. Very strange doctor.

I have seen Dr. Sim for aproximately 3 years. She has very little time/courtesy for questions, comments, own ideas about what might be going on and patient autonomy. I felt rushed and lectured everytime I went to see her. I never felt encouraged to take better care of myself rather put down for having my own autonomy about what medications I wanted to put into my body. She does not like any disagreement about what she thinks is the best modality for treatment. It is NOT collaborative care with her. I would never recommend her to anyone who needs a kind, caring, and compassionate MD.

I would reccommend this dr to anyone who needs to see a dr.
