Dr. Jaecel Shah Shah, MD

I transferred to Dr. Jaecel Shah at Texas ENT Specialists for ongoing allergy and sinus issues, having been on sublingual allergy drops for years with no symptom improvement despite repeated reports to him. Expected results were supposed to occur within 6 months, but after over two years, nothing changed—he seemed to overlook the lack of progress and didn’t thoroughly investigate underlying causes earlier. Only recently did he order a CT scan, which revealed severe inflammation, nearly blocked sinuses, and a deviated septum—issues that, given my long history of symptoms, should have been explored much sooner when I first started under his care. While I believe he’s capable surgically, the delay felt like a lack of attention to my full history and ongoing complaints. Office experiences were consistently poor: routine waits of over an hour after being roomed, and staff often came across as rude or dismissive. When scheduling a needed procedure (after meeting my deductible), a staff… member showed clear annoyance at adding me to a busy end-of-year schedule. We completed pre-op discussions, I received all paperwork and prep instructions, and rescheduled for early next year due to my travel conflict with the follow-up. However, the office later required a repeat pre-op visit because prescriptions weren’t sent timely, forcing the procedure after my school start. When I reminded them of the prior discussion and mentioned having the paperwork, the staff member denied it ever happened and insisted otherwise, making me feel dismissed. Overall, the combination of delayed diagnosis, long waits, and unhelpful staff interactions made this a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this office and advise others to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Shah is fabulous. He was able to immediately diagnose my spasmodic dysphonia and gave me a plan for speech therapy and an acid reflux prescription that will hopefully help. He is professional, has a great manner with patients, and explains things well. I highly recommend him!

Dr Shah was great - listened carefully and explained things very well. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed. Highly recommend. Staff is great as well.

Suggested unnecessary surgeries and performed a procedure that is outside of the scope of the consultation and did not disclose that at all to me that it was outside of the scope until I got the bill. Not recommended.
