Jaehon M. Kim, M.D. is an upper extremity and microvascular surgeon at the Leni & Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Kim received his medical degree at Weill-Cornell Medical College, and completed his residency at Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program in Boston. He was one of the few national recipients of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation grant. For his subspecialty training, Dr. Kim was accepted into the fellowship program at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore, considered one of the most competitive and finest surgical training in the world. Dr. Kim's education is unique in that he was mentored by world-renowned surgeons in both orthopaedic and plastic surgery.
Dr. Kim specializes in all aspects of upper extremity surgery ranging from simple to complex problems of the musculoskeletal system. He performs minimally invasive surgeries such as endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures as well as delicate …reconstruction of neurovascular structures utilizing the state of the art microscope. Other surgeons routinely refer patients to Dr. Kim for challenging injuries and conditions. Dr. Kim is academically active, and is the author of numerous book chapters and primary research articles.
