I received a letter dismissing me from the practice because I didn't schedule a procedure less than 1 month after he recommended it to me. So much for having say over your own health. Apparently if you don't schedule all surgeries Dr. Jk recommends, you get the boot. Fine by me, no one will control my body and health but me.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!! I had an appointment for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. My copay for the Endoscopy was going to be $150. I was laid off from my job and did not have the extra $150. I called and cancelled the endoscopy appt. for this reason, but kept the colonoscopy appt. which had 0 copay. I have just received a certified letter telling me that since I cancelled my endoscopy appointment I needed to find another Gastroenterologist.

He manipulates medicare and your insurace to his advantage ...but you end up paying in the long run!

Dr is NOT proactive nor concerned. After you deal with rude office staff, wait hours past your appt time, you can finally be ignored by the Dr for a few minutes.

DO NOT GO HERE! I had a colonoscopy here over 2 months ago. I had to pay $450 up front, as they said it probably wasn't covered. It was, and now I'm still waiting to be reimbursed. They say that the doctor's wife is the only one who can sign refund checks and she only comes into the office one day a week, and then doesn't always sign them! Also, a very small room where the procedure was done..nothing like the hospital I used to have it done at. Also, not a regular physician anesthesiologist.

This was an amazing experience. I have a chronic condition and have used various specialists throughout the years to follow my condition. This was the most thorough and considerate assessment of my situation and the doctor actually gave me a "hands on" examination versus just the typical scan of lab results and listening to my self report of symptoms and/or lack thereof.

I am totally disgusted with the treatment received from Dr. Khan. Seeing that my husband was terribly ill, he sent him away on a Friday morning, for 3 days, with instructions to return for a sigmoidoscopy on the Monday, and to fast from midnight of the 3rd day. The appointment was at 14:30 - this meant 14 hours of fasting!!!! At death's door I drove my husband to Sarasota Memorial Hospital the next morning (Saturday)and he was admitted for 8 days. His white blood cells were 48,000!!!! The norm is 8!! Dr. Khan should have done a blood test or told my husband to get to ER immediately. But $1,000 for a sigmoidoscopy was more important.
