For two years I have been suffering with shortness of breath..Extreme fatigue and not being able to accomplish even small daily tasks. I have seen 3!! Cardiologist over the past two years and not one of them could figure out what the issues were causing my symptoms. Prior to this..I worked 40-55 hours a week..on top of that trained horse and was active non-stop. I was starting to get depressed..giving up all hope..beginning to wonder if I was simply going crazy..Then I found Dr. Akella..my 4th cardiologist in 2 years. My first visit..he was Compassionate..listened to my story..and gave me Hope again. Two tests were scheduled right away and follow up scheduled just a couple days after. My Second appointment..Dr Akella knew Exactly what the issue is AND a plan to fix it!! I was so overjoyed that I actually got all teary eyed during the appointment. Every single person at this clinic gas been Empathetic..kind..and super efficient. How 3 other cardiologists completely dropped the ball is… beyond belief. I am so Blessed to have found Dr. Akella and so hopeful that his treatment will get me back to my old spunky self!!

We're very fortunate that God uses Dr. Akella's expertise and wisdom to lead patients to their best heart health interest. Awesome doctor, always doing his job with passion.

Sitting in the waiting room, which was in dire need of a cleaning, I waited for about 45 minutes for my charge's appointment. I saw 10 patients come out during this time, which is about right since he spent less than 5 minutes with us. Lots of staff turnover. Changing to a physician who has a more stable practice and has time to treat, not just to 'see'.

Dr. Akella literally saved my life via a pacemaker. He takes the time to listen to his patients, and has an excellent "bedside manner".

Dr. Akella has seen me through afib and high BP and in my opinion, saved my life. Takes the time and listens, cares. He has gone over and above what one would expect from their doctor.

I just got off the phone with my Mother and I am appalled at the story I was just told about how my Mother was just treated at this office. 1) One hour wait before she was taken back for her appointment. 2) Front desk admitted they had overlooked her signing in and they were not aware she was there! 3) Dr. was not engaging during the visit and acted put out that he had to deal with her. 4) All this after being an established patient of over 1.5 years. She will not be going back and you should not consider this office!

I think Dr. Akella is a great Dr. I was so disappointed that the Ablation did not work although this was not Dr. Akella's fault. He is an excellent Dr. and listens to you and takes time to answer all questions.

this is a doctor who cares about his patients,I believe he is the best heart doctor in manatee and sarasota counties,his diagnosios has been right on everytime, I highly recommend him.

Dr. Akella, He is a caring physican. Takes time,listens to you, and follows up with appropriate tests.
