Dr. Jagan M. Beedupalli, MD

Jagan Beedupalli, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist who treats heart and vascular health conditions with minimally invasive procedures that restore health and function so people can carry on with their lives. His expertise includes coronary artery disease (CAD), peripheral artery disease (PAD), congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm problems, DVT and pulmonary embolism, and preventive cardiology. Dr. Beedupalli’s patients are in good hands as he personally communicates and treats each person. Kindness and compassion toward patients are important, as Dr. Beedupalli always takes time to explain procedures and answer the questions and concerns that are important to each patient.

Dr. Beedupalli holds American Board of Internal Medicine certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is board certified in nuclear cardiology (Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology) and echocardiography (National Board of …Echocardiography). Cardiology research and trends are on his radar as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

After earning his medical degree from NTR University of Health Sciences in India, Dr. Beedupalli completed his master’s degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology, or disease prevention and control, at Tulane University in New Orleans. He did medical training with a residency in internal medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport, followed by a general cardiology fellowship and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the same location.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Beedupalli enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and dog. He likes the outdoors and shoots targets, and plays pickleball, ping pong, tennis and, occasionally, golf. He also enjoys handywork and building in his yard as well as traveling with his family and reading science fiction, cosmology and theoretical physics. His languages include English, Hindi and Telugu.
