During the Covid crisis, Dr Divvela refused to refill my prescription without first doing a "virtual appointment" He has been my doctor for 10 years and my thyroid meds havent changed in that time. He would charge me a regular office visit in order to do a conference call which leads to NO MEDICAL EXAMINATION WHATSOEVER. In other words, pay me or you don't get your meds. Stay far away.

Though I haven’t been a patient of his in years, I feel it’s my responsibility to make sure people know know my story with him... I went to him for approximately three years for a pain I was having in my groin. For approximately three years he gave me antibiotics and it wasn’t until I went to another physician that I found out I needed surgery to correct my problem. The new doctor saw the bulge that I pointed out to Dr D. and diagnosed me in less than five minutes and couldn’t believe that I was only given antibiotics for the problem that needed surgery to be corrected . The new Physicians exact words were “what do you mean he said he couldn’t see the bulge it’s right here“.

My husband scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Divvela. When he went in to sign in, the receptionist said that the doctor wasn't in. This happened a second time and we switched doctors. No one even called to tell us he would not be in. He went to his country to visit family. He should have told the receptionist to look and see who's scheduled and to give them a call.
