He is very polite, humble, and simply superb doctor.

Dr. Powar and his staff are the best! I feel so grateful to have had all of them throughout my pregnancy. Dr. Powar was patient through all of my ups and downs, was caring, calming and very considerate. Anytime I needed him he was available and answered all of my questions very quickly. On delivery day he was there for me in the beginning and end, even though my baby decided she wanted to enter this world in the middle of the night at 2:48am. Dr. Powar was there within 10-15 of the nurses calling him since he lives so close to the hospital. It is comforting to know that he makes it a high priority to personally deliver his patients babies. Everyone I know who has had him for their pregnancy has been extremely pleased. If you and your baby are lucky enough to get him consider yourself blessed. During my delivery he was extremely careful with me and my baby which I didn't fully notice until watching the video of my baby being delivered but his gentleness was definitely like… watching an expert at work. I would recommend him to everyone in the future.

Powar was fine until he arranged to induce labor. Despite mother and child in distress he would not come to the hospital; arrived the next day and said he'd do a caesarean - after he sees his child's new pet. Three hours later the child was delivered - with brain damage. Powar concluded child is "doing fine" (so he wrote in medical records). Do you want him to delivery YOUR child???

Absolutely horrible! He was fine during office visits, but when attempting to induce labor he introduced problems with my child. Serious problems. Brain damage. After this was discovered, Powar wrote in the medical records "doing fine". Apparently, he has incredibly low standards of patient care that he didn't reveal before.

Dr. Powar was able to do what several of the leading physicians in San Francisco seemed unable or unwilling to do and that was remove an enormous fibroid while leaving my uterus intact. He did a great job. I had no pain, no scar and received great care. I am grateful to have had him as my physician.
