Dr. Jahnavi Koppala, MD

Although Dr. Koppala was very nice, I don't believe she is the right fit for my gastro issues as the diet restrictions I already practiced and which she suggested are contrary to relieving symptoms. I'm not confident this is the right treatment.

Had colonoscopy over 10 days ago biopsy results have been on portal for a week and still have not been contacted.

Office staff was very rude. Incorrect billing created huge bills not covered by insurance, taking lots of my time to address. Doctor seemed nice at consult, with the exception of strongly promoting lots of meds.

I had been into the emergency room and admitted to the hospital for severe abdominal pain and vomiting blood, and they scheduled me an upper endoscopy with her. I’d never met her and when I did, she rushed me through all the pre-op, didn’t answer any of my questions (I’ve been in constant pain for 3 weeks and wanted some help and compassion) and once the procedure was done never came back to talk to me, I was given paperwork and nothing was fixed. She is only after billables. It’s very discouraging. I WILL be seeking another GI doctor.

Had been to Sarasota Memorial and they referred me to Dr. Koppala. For the follow up appointment I requested that she please review xrays before seeing me. I am 100% sure she did not. Basically stated the radiology report verbatim and I had already read that myself. Just wanted to schedule more xrays and get more $$$ barely spoke with me. Rude, rushed and not helpful at all.

Dr. Koppala seemed very rushed and over-worked. Very poor bedside attitude. I blame CHI Gastroenterology for poor scheduling.
