I took my teenage daughter for a physical exam (4S Ranch location). I suspected that my daughter began using drugs. And I asked Dr. J. Friedman to administer a drug test during the visit. She said that she needs a consent of my underage daughter! I could not believe what I heard! Dr. Friedman told me to step out of the room for privacy with a patient! And, of course, the "patient" - my underage daughter - refused to take the drug test. Dr. Friedman told me that it is their company's policy: to establish trust with the patient - the child! Which means, the medical issue, in this case teenager's drug use, is not as important to this doctor as establishing a "trust with a patient" who is a minor child. I pay for this doctor’s visit, I have to sign different permission forms, but I cannot get the doctor to administer the drug test on my daughter. During the visit, Dr. Friedman reminded me two times that she does not have much time. This is unbelievable. I, as a parent, am… responsible for the wellbeing of my child, I bring my child to a pediatrician and, as a mother, I have a concern about child's drug use. And instead of trying to help to get to the bottom of this problem, to stop the drug use, the doctor is refusing to help! What kind of a medical facility for children CPCMG (Children's Primary Care Medical Group) is??? I was taking my daughter there for 16 years! I paid my insurance which paid these doctors salaries. As a parent of a child, you are required to sign their school field trip permissions, but you cannot be present in the room during the physical exam or to get a drug test for a suspected drug use! Even after describing the alarming signs of my daughter’s behavior, drop in grades, etc. Dr. Friedman still did not administer the drug test citing their company's policy! It is not a State of California law, it is their company's policy! But this company sure did ask my daughter in a questionnaire if she feels a female or a male. That what is important to the CPCMG and to Dr. Friedman! And Dr. Friedman remined me 2 times during the visit that she does not have much time. I will never go back there, and I want everybody to know that I tried to get to the bottom of this company’s policy. I called corporate office and I spoke with the Assistant Director of Operations Alyson Ryan. She called me back after the initial talk, and said that I can buy a drug test from a pharmacy, and that I can speak with Dr. Friedman again if I want, but they will not change their company’s policy. When I asked her, who did she talk to in her corporate office about my complaint and request to change their ridiculous policy, she said that she spoke with Director of Corporate Compliance and Risk Management (eq. to Legal dept). She did not speak with her boss Director of Clinic Operations Raenell Smith or with the CEO and President of CPCMG Reggie Roman. But she sure did talk to their legal team. These people do not care about wellbeing of children, they only care about preventing potential legal issues. That’s all. Run away from this medical group, because if today, your children are not using drugs, tomorrow they may start, and you will not get help from these so called doctors.

Wait time happens with any doctor. I've seen her three times and it took about an hour to see her, she is very nice and gave extra advice and tips and didn't seem in a hurry to leave like with every doctor I have ever seen However, my son for shots on 3 visits. The first visit the nurse was very good- not much fuss, her new assistant is not very good with giving shots. She is very rough and jams the needles in. My son cried for two hours after today's visit. He rarley ever cries. I really think she needs to replace her as I am considering switching doctors for this reason alone. I have no experience giving shots but I can even see she is not properly trained

She was downright RUDE to my child and had a snottiness to her. Her 4S ranch office lost my paperwork and mixed up lab results, all in the 1st visit and despite an almost empty office. She also left the room for another patient, before our visit was complete (didn't discuss lab results). I can't imagine bringing my child to her in the years to come. We have a choice you know...find another doctor!

Worst doctor ever. I was the first appointment of the day but I didn't end up being seen until 30 minutes later. She does not care about her patients and is just in a hurry to get out. I was there for an hour and a half and still got no clear answers. She never follows up on her calls so don't bother leaving a message for her.

Best Dr. I have come across, and I have dealt with many. exceptional bedside manner, very caring and concerned. She is always going out of her way to make sure your child is well taken care of and all questions and concerns are taken care. She is also not in a hurry to see your child and leave the room.
