Dr. Jaime Salvador Solorzano Gonzalez, MD

If you come across this doctor, run. Ask for another hospitalist if this man's name is even mentioned. He did not want to discharge my husband even though two other doctors cleared him to go home. He then refused to provide an antibiotic prescription and hung up on the nurses trying to get this accomplished. Zero stars for any kind of professionalism toward patients or nurses. I had to give him one star to submit this review.

Has patients waiting hours and never showes up or comes in late. We the patients are penalized with a fee of $25 if they do not show up, even in cases of emergencies. Who penalizes this doctor for his no shows or for his lateness? The rules should start within the house.

I was off my feet for 7 days doing outpatient for an extremely inflamed swollen painful foot. Got admitted on a Friday, the first hospitilst did nothing productive, but when Dr Solorzano come on shift he looked at everything came and talked to me, and switched to a completely different medication track based on my health history. I started improving within 6 hours. Smart doc, nice guy, very personable. Don't hesitate to go see him.

My husband was recently in the hospital and we were more than blessed to have Dr Solorzano as our attending physician. He took the time to explain his medical needs as well as providing excellent medical care! Thank you again. Sincerely The Opalka's

Very responsive, compassionate, good communication

He is truly a caring exceptional physician. The combination of intelligence dedication and attention to detail place him far above the rest. My successful outcome in the ICU was largely related to his efforts. It is notable during my hospitalization that he conversed with multiple specialists to coordinate care which at times was quite complex. He communicated to myself and family members daily regarding treatment plans and my status. I highly recommend this doctor and trust him with my life or any of my family members.

Dr. Solazano took wonderful care of me while I was in the hospital recently. He treated me like family and made me feel in safe hands. I wish he could be my primary MD. He took time with me and educated me to the plan of care each day and made sure I understood all procedures and tests. Thank you so much for caring

Dr. SOLORZANO WAS ESPECIALLY KIND, THOUGHTFUL, THOUROUGH, AND PROFESSING WHILE COORDINATING THE CARE FOR SPOUSE' S HEART EPISODE.

This doctor is very rude in compassionate doesn't have feelings for others, his bedside manner is very cold, well I guess you would have to have bedside manners to be cold this doctor doesn't have any, this doctor has many complaints to Florida Hospital, to go see him at his office is your choice but when you're assigned to him when you're sick and in the hospital is not the patient's choice, so if you hear your assigned to dr. Jamie solarazano please request another doctor Florida Hospital Deland has many complaints on this doctor as well as some of the employees that work there have opinions on this doctor and they are not good to go into a hospital and be treated in such away by a doctor you're supposed to be dependent on is absolutely terrible this doctor is hired by an independent company in Florida Hospital Deland needs to make decisions on the doctors they hire they need to look up because I know they care about their patients and therefore should care about how I doctor is… treating their patients that is allowed to work in there establishment I only pray for the patients that get assigned to this doctor that they don't go through what I went through remember Dr. Solorazano what comes around goes around one day you can only hope that you're never treated the way you treat patients

This doctor is one that consistently goes above and beyond for his patients. He streamlines communication with other physician specialties so the patient can be best served. Bottom line: he cares. It's quite clear when drug seeking individuals enter the hospital and are not successful in obtaining their pain meds of choice, they can become irate and abusive. Those comments are to be ignored, as drug misuse is a serious problem that requires intense psychiatric/psychological intervention. In sum, I would give Dr. Solorzano high marks for his bedside manner in explaining complex things in an understandable way and caring for his patients with compassion.
