Dr. Jaishvi Eapen, MBBS

Dr. Jaishvi Eapen is an Infectious Diseases physician at Westchester Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College, where she also serves as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Co-Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. She is passionate about caring for patients with complex infections, with a particular focus on HIV, and is deeply committed to improving the way diagnostic and treatment decisions are made at both the bedside and systems level.Her work bridges clinical care, education, and quality improvement, with a focus on diagnostic stewardship, antimicrobial optimization, and reducing unnecessary variation in practice. She has led multidisciplinary initiatives to redesign workflows and improve urine culture utilization across inpatient and emergency department settings.
