Dr. Jameelah Din Strickland, MD

Worst experience ever. No common courtesy, waisted my time to establish care with the computer she was typing in the whole time, she left the room without my knowledge and never came back, the nurse kept going back and forth for further questions I had. What a very unrespectful person.

Unpleasant, even hostile, go only if you're looking for medicine with an attitude.

After waiting 40 minutes to see her, she barely apologized for the wait. Her demeanor and body language was approachable and she seemed uninterested in examining me. The exam was very officious and her personality was very flat as if she was depressed. She barely explained the followup so I was left a little confused. I would never see or recommend to anyone.

Second visit with my husband. She was unengageable and antagonistic. Have various specialists who referred us to her, the PCP. However she questioned us as if we were culprits asking on our own. Her Instructions were confusing. She sent her MA in to attempt to explain. Still had questions. When leaving she was in her office with her coat on. We just left confused. Saw no inkling of compassion from her.

Waste of time. Was never seen. Waited for an hour. Even the receptionist had to tell her twice i was waiting. Never again.

This doctor acted as if it was an imposition to see me after I had to wait over an hour before she came into the room. Even though I gave her an extensive history of my ongoing blood sugar issues, she treated me as though I was a newly diagnosed diabetic, with no knowledge of protocol, diet, or diabetic education. Completely disregarded my statements, input, personal history, and asked me no questions whatsoever regarding my health, simply stating she could not prescribe any oral medication, stating it was the policy of their office. Dr. Strickland showed no compassion, no sense of collaboration or urgency, and sent me from the office with no prescription or plan for my uncontrolled diabetes. Dr. Strickland was dismissive, unclear in her plans and actions, and even left her staff confused as to my plan of care.

Dr. Strickland is a kind and compassionate woman. She listens to me, offers advice, and has a friendly demeanor.
