Dr. James David Abel, MD

Dr. Abel is a wonderful psychiatrist that has always given me the respect, patience, and help that I need. I would highly recommend Dr. Abel.

Knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, listens, understanding, engaging, etc.

The girls in the office are great. Always willing to help and show genuine concern. I’ve had to call in several times with questions and they are always so nice to me no matter what or how stupid my question is. You don't find that everywhere. It's rare these days. Been coming here for quite awhile. Dr. Abel has helped tremendously. He's always been open to what I have to say. I've suffered from major depression and suicidal tendencies most of my life (and I'm old). With that, I've been on probably every med out there. So this "road" is and has been rough. But, Dr. Abel has listened and worked with me without hesitation (time being crucial with this disease). He's always given me hope that there is something out there that's going to work/help. It's a process of eliminating what's not working. His encouragement and direction has somehow kept me alive, quite honestly. And lastly, if nothing seems to be working he is quick to get you to another level of treatment. He doesn't… hesitate at all.

I'm sure even sadder and embarrassing, for the geriatric patient being brought in like this. And into a waiting room full of people. Twisted truths. .. As a 5 star rated business owner myself; and with the holidays approaching, that will probably be absent my children . It pains me to bring attention to this. From the way of his references valley mental health who capitalize on our small area , and who cut corners for this person even as far as relocation for personal gain "marrage within organization ". And Also writing a substantial check to cover up undisclosed unprofessional activities. For their indecent conduct. " love my bike by the way" . I've spent the better half of ten years fighting the west Virginia court system to see my children, who keep having mysterious witnesses of "phsicatriac clout" make statements which hinder my interaction with my Fairmont native born children. Whom for 9 plus years have had this man and family pulling strings. . Do not trust your or your family's mental health in the hands of this man, pure negolgance and arrogance.... of a few dollars.. I am available for any… questions or viewing of documents. I want no personal gain from this I just think the publics mental health is at danger. Also I will help organize any fundraisers to offer this "Dr"any personal counseling sessions to better his or his families future .Or To better his blurred reality . cmyhiiq2 This will probably conclude my 5 star business rating after this date. Completely unprofessional! Withheld treatment when he knew that my brother needed his medicine (TWICE!), knowing that it could be putting not only my brother and his well being but my whole family in danger. I would not have marked a star at all but this site requires something. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone!
