There are patients that he gives pills that abuse them that dont need thwm and those patiwnts are my family,my family memwbers are addictes to them and i see them auffer evwry day

Had no compassion for the terrible pain I was having - I had a hard time sitting and was next to tears. He said he couldn’t help me and started to leave. Wouldn’t even consider doing anything for me and never felt around to see where the pain is. He did suggest going to the Cleveland Clinic which would be good but I need pain relief between now and then. If you want a Dr who will listen to you as a patient and seek help - see a different Dr.

I was treated very poorly by Dr Bassett

Dr. bassett is wonderful. he is limited on what he can do because i put on my papers that i used to smoke pot (its been ages now but it still puts him at risk) so i am not eligible for narcotic pain killers. which is honestly fine w me bc i feel that they only make the problem worse by turning people into addicts. but he has been able to help some w injections. i just went in today to go over my first mri results in 4 years. they havent changed quite enough to require surgery he felt, but he wants to get a second opinion from a neurologist. thats the first time a doctor has wanted a second opinion to make sure he was right with me and that impressed me. he has been absolutely wonderful with me and so has his staff. i have had no problems with any of them. it can be a little frustrating to get an appointment with him sometimes, but not always.

I started seeing Bassett 4.5 years ago. I have upper and lower back pain. For the most part I didn't mind him as long as I could get my shots and pain meds. Once, I went in to get my refill (at his old office) and found a note on the door saying that they were on vacation for the week. You can't imagine the stress this caused me (as I need my meds to function...luckily I had enough back ups this time). Another time I went to get my refill, I found another note on the door saying that they switched locations. On two occasions, he's written me the wrong script (huge stress), but LISTEN TO THIS...HE DROPPED ME FOR NO REASON AND WOULDN'T TALK TO ME FACE TO FACE. Just last week, I went to get my meds refilled and the pharmacy said that the doctor put a hold on them. So I went went to his office hoping to speak to him (by this time I'm freaking out because I'm almost out of meds and I need them to function), but instead I had to talk to Leslie the nurse (who's a b***h). She told me that… Bassett didn't know that I was taking meds from my family doctor (which is a LIE and I have the summary sheets, with all my meds listed, to prove it), that I violated some contract that I supposedly signed (she wouldn't show it to me), and that using two different pharmacy's looked criminal (I had no idea that you couldn't use more than one pharmacy...I used Rite Aid for my nucyenta because they were the only one who carried it years ago and Kroger for my other meds so I could shop at the same time. It wasn't premeditated, it was convenience). He won't talk to me. Needless to say, I'm scared/stressed out of my mind and have to find a doctor fast. I'm so hurt by his actions. I've jumped through all of his hoops over the years and have never lied. He puts his own a*s before the needs of his patients. Shame on him.

Dr Bassett is a very nice man. My most memorable moment w/him is the first time I had an appointment with him, he was very concerned and seemed to understand all the other CRAP I had been through with other doctors prior to him. My only problem is because my pain is severe and chronic and I have been dealing with it for almost ten years, I have built up quite a tolerance to most meds. I have even gotten a spinal cord stimulator which does me no good. I've had it for a few years now and it was probably a bad decision. But Dr.Bassett seems to limit you on what he'll do even for those of us that pass our drugs test w/flying colors because we don't abuse our meds. It's caused most doctors to just cut you off or you run out if options on what you can do. I know me personally, I have been on probably everything in the book and nothing is working. My next option could be a pain pump but why get cut on if its not a guarantee? Dr Bassett even told me on about my 3rd visit that I pretty much… needed to get used to the position and pain I'm in that I'm never going to be the same. I took that as a smack in the face originally but now after this many years and still no relief, I understand what he meant... Otherwise, he and his staff are outrageously funny, sensitive, courteous, affectionate and totally understanding to how crappy you feel 5-6 out if 7 days a week and do want to help.
