Dr. James Howard Batson, MD

I have 5 children that are all patients of Dr. Batson. We started with him for my oldest 2 when he was a new doctor. We moved away after a couple years. When we moved back with 2 more children and a 5th on the way, he was the doctor we chose again. It is now over 5 years later and we are still pleased. My oldest daughter has now chosen a different doctor (in the same office) but it's strictly because she's now at an age where she prefers a female physician and Dr. Batson was completely understanding of this and was even the one who asked if she would be more comfortable with a woman. I have 2 special needs children and Dr. Batson has always been on my (our) side in getting them appropriate care and therapies, providing referrals whenever needed. Although I am not a doctor, I do have a lot of knowledge/experience that helps me navigate the medical world. He doesn't seem threatened by this and is happy to answer questions and discuss with me without being condescending. There… are a few things we disagree on, but he has always been respectful in those disagreements and not pushed anything.
