Dr. James Richard Baugh, MD

My kids have been patients for almost 13 years. Dr. Baugh always makes them feel comfortable. He is a great doctor, communicates with kids and parents in a very clear and friendly manner. I couldn't be any happier with his practice.

Dr. Baugh has been treating my son since birth (14 years). He is the best pediatrician in the Virginia Pediatrics practice which makes it somewhat difficult to get an appointment but it is worth the wait. His diagnosis is always right on target. He makes his patients and parents feel at ease. He is a gem!

We think Dr. Baugh is wonderful! He is always very professional, knowledgeable and very caring. We've been seeing him for over 10 years. He always takes the time to answer our questions and is very personable and understanding with our kids. We highly recommend Dr. Baugh.

Dr. Baugh is generous with his time. But, he NEVER washes his hand before examining my children and has missed at least one important diagnosis.

Our appt. was toward the end of the day, so we were seen promptly. The office staff was practically gone by the time our meeting with Dr. Baugh was over. This means Dr. Baugh stayed to spend the needed time with us, rather than watching his clock. As well, it means we had almost no interaction with the office staff, but they seemed pleasant over the phone. Dr. Baugh is amazing and thorough. It is well worth the wait to get in to see him, if time is on your side. He was able to diagnose and medicate my son better than other doctors were able to do. Granted, we were able to provide a lot of history from the other doctors, yet he took all of that into consideration and, again, was right on with the diagnosis and now, working, medications.

It is very difficult to get an appointment with Dr. Baugh, but he is worth all the trouble of waiting and calling back when new schedules arrive. He makes both kids and moms feel comfortable and has made excellent diagnoses of things other doctors have missed.
