Dr. James Richard Bean, MD

Had Laminectomy on my lower back around 2014 and I have done nothing but suffer daily. I was left with my left leg that would just fold up u see me at times. Have to walk around with a cane. Wasn’t disabled but now I am. Not saying he was a bad doctor just saying he didn’t help me as far as leaving me with a critical severe back pain. Now that 6 yrs has past I have the sciatica coming back. The real problem wasn’t Dr Bean it was the workerscomp not wanting to do the surgery Bean recommenced. The workmanscomp was Chartis and there nothing but the devil. They care nothing about you all they care about is spending less money. But I will say this Dr Bean should have told them he was gonna do that other surgery and left it as that so I keep thinking if I had the other surgery maybe I wouldn’t be in this pain. So now I suffer daily with lower back pain and leg pain with my foot on fire. Not sure if there is a such thing as a good Surgeon. I really do believe while they was in my back they… hit a nerve that’s why my left leg is the way it is lifeless at times.

Dr. Bean did 2 back surgeries on me i trust & have all faith in him i see him on May 13th and pray he can help me again 5 star's 4 Dr. Bean

Dr. Bean is an excellent physician. He leans toward the conservative side when it comes to surgery. He was highly recommended by my regular neurologist for surgical consultation.

I HAVE HAD THREE OPERATION BY HIM AND HIS PA AND I WOULDNT HAVE ANY ONME ELES DOING MY OPERATION BUT THEM I LOVE YOU GUYS THANK YOU LANAIE LONG

This guy is a joke. He operated on me and placed a screw on a nerve. He came out and told my family that "you know David wanted this". Then he told them it was in rock solid. When I went back in 3 weeks later for a follow up visit he did an x-ray and said, "there it is". There what is? You have a screw that has backed out.2 Days later I had to go back in and have surgery again. In his own words in the op-report he state, that the hardware was removed and the back bone was scraped and the screws were placed at the correct depth. Were they not the correct depth the first time. When he found out I went to see an attorney he cut off my disability. He said I could return to work, work 40 hrs a week and could lift up to 20 pounds. I had done nothing but laid in bed and took 850 Oxycontin, 350 percocets and 325 Xanax. Thee state sent an investigator to interview him, his PA and my self. He told them that their were 10 Rx's on file for Oxycontin and he wrote 7. Meaning his PA wrote and forged… his name in the others. Acually all I had to do is go to my Pharmacy and request a copy of all my Rx's. Their were not 10 but 19. He lies and will do anything to make the patient look at fault.

Severe sciatic pain completely relieved by minimally invasive disc surgery (partial disc removal); very professional.
