Dr. James Richard Benzie, MD

He was in a hurry, had no interest in listening to me talk. Went in for an annual health heck. I will never go back to him. He was terrible.

Dr Benzie happened to be rounding in the hospital when we had our first child 11 years ago. He has been our first choice since then, through 3 kids and numerous shots and ailments. Absolutely would recommend him to anyone. He is easy to talk to and it is evident he cares about his patients. It is a loss for North Memorial and us!

I am sad to hear that Dr. Benzie is leaving North Memorial and will be going to Entira-West St. Paul Clinic. He has cared for me and my whole family for many years. He is an excellent doctor and takes his time listening to my concerns.

Dr. Benzie goes above and beyond the call of duty by asking questions, working to find the answers together, and making an accurate diagnosis. He is insistent on having patients check back with him if their health does not improve quickly. I have had many very serious health issues in my young life and Dr. Benzie is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever worked with.

Dr. Benzie by far is the best Dr. I have ever found. I was very lucky to find him. He is extremely thorough. He goes above and beyond to make sure you get an accurate diagnosis. If you are having a problem that most doctors would ignore or would send you home with very little or no help at all, he does the exact opposite. He takes the time to listen and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I have struggled and complained for years about the issue I was having and after seeing many Dr.'s I was getting no relief. One meeting with him and he was able to fix my problem and I am feeling so much better.

His expertise is excellent. He explains issues in a way that is very understandable. He gives guidelines for overall health. When there are issues to deal with he gives options for best care. His personatity and kindness have been just what I needed to get on a healthy track and be motivated to just do it. I am very appreciative of this doctor.
