Dr. James Ellis Bertz, MD

I have been dealing with a fistula in jaw for 6 months that showed up after tooth removal . Did not heal and saw 3 doctors in Indiana and 4 in Arizona . Some oral max doctors just schrugged their shoulders and said “I have no idea!” Then finally found Dr. Bertz who knew and proceeded to figure this out as it’s very rare !! He did the surgery in lower jaw and removed infection and finally have relief . He’s so intelligent and well respected . So grateful I found the one person in the area that could solve this !!! Great human being and excepts Medicare where other docs would be out of pocket! Kind doctor. He’s one in a million!!

Doc removed the cyst and rebult my jaw with cadaver bone. I had no problem with anesthesia from Dr. Sara and great surgical job by Dr. Bertz. He is also an awesome fellow. Donating his time to help others with maladies that he can fix with his great surgical skills. My wife and I were moved to donate to his charity. A truly wonderful individual and great surgeon!

Did my due diligence. Researched credentials, post-op infection rates, patient reviews, etc. Wanted and went with very experienced surgeon. I got so very much more than remarkable surgical skill. He is one of the two finest men I've ever met, and I'm grateful for whatever grace that led me to choose him for my surgery/ies. His humanity is humbling and I'll always be the richer for meeting him.

As a parent I really liked his bedside Manor and my teenage son thought he was funny and liked talking football.

Worst office staff and follow up care, and I work in the healthcare field! Dr. Bertz never communicated with my orthodontist, I felt they took my money and never went beyond that. Very disappointing when you have a serious condition and need help. Please take my rating seriously.
