I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Beutnagel in May 2018. He took great care of me while dealing with my presented issues. He reassured me about an upcoming brain surgery and checked in on me after leaving the ER. Something was nagging him about my condition but he couldn't put his finger on it. He checked in with my brain surgeon post my surgery which to me is going above and beyond his needed call of duty after I left the ER. Dr Beutnagal the missing link you were looking for was ANCA vasculitis. Thank you for your care and attention.

Absolute nightmare. $2900 to tell us they're not a real ER and we were now forced to take an ambulance elsewhere. If I could rate North Cypress Emergency Room Willowbrook 0 stars, I would. We were desperate parents rushing our infant son to the nearest emergency room after we had discovered he had gotten into some medications. Immediately after they admit him (so they can now bill us), they inform us that we should have gone to a children's hospital and they had no idea what to do....they reiterated this message of having no idea what to do on multiple occasions - so what am I paying for and why should I be paying them??? They had got on the phone with Poison Control - something I had already done the moment the issue happened with our son. Then they did some research to tell me what I had already learned. They told us we needed to be transferred to a children's hospital because there was nothing they could do and the only way to be transferred was by ambulance because we had already… been admitted - WHAT A SCAM. While we waited for the ambulance they took his blood pressure, monitored his heart rate, and administer (better described as "mixed") some activated charcoal ($5 at drug store) with orange juice and gave it to him to drink. We've now received our bill for this "care" and we are being charged for a Level 5 emergency room visit at over $2,900.00 - they also charged us for 50 grams of activated charcoal when in reality my son only ingested around 5 grams. This is like going to a restaurant and telling your waiter "I'm so hungry, I could eat a whole horse!" Then getting your soup and sandwich and receiving a bill for the entire horse. The response to the bill - "You said you were so hungry you could eat a whole horse so we are charging you for the horse, just in case you did eat the entire thing." (All the while there aren't prices available anywhere). North Cypress Emergency Room claims to be my "community caregiver," but in reality they're bad for my community. I've learned all free-standing emergency rooms operate this way - claiming to provide ER within the community so they can bill as such, but not actually being equipped to take care of anything more than an urgent care center could provide (for under $100 every time). Additionally, North Cypress Emergency Room charges based on what you may end up needing or how significant the threat level MAY be even though, in reality, you got some charcoal and vital signs checked just before being booted out the door. We are unbelievably displeased, and will never consider using North Cypress Emergency Room Willowbrook or any other free-standing ER again. It should be criminal to charge so much for an "I don't know how to handle this" or "You should have gone somewhere else because we aren't equipped." A hands down horrible experience. My wife and I are writing our congressmen, contacting local news media, and engaging the better business bureau. It's clear these people went into healthcare purely for financial reasons - not to help their ill and injured fellow community members. The staff, administrators, and the doctors who own and operate North Cypress Emergency Room (HELLO! CONFLICT OF INTEREST!) should be deeply ashamed of themselves.
