Dr. James Joseph Bivona, MD

Dr. Bivona is a wonderful doctor. He treats his patients as if they are his only patient. He takes time and listens to everything. I never feel rushed. He is a caring and friendly person.

The office is dirty, the staff bicker and share confidential information in front of patients and the office is an ethical tangle. It is unethical to have staff members and their families become patients. Some doctors can manage a dual relationship but the conflicts of interests are as damaging as a cancer. On a less intense note, Dr. Bivona seldom responds to messages in a timely manner and poor/inadequate records are kept. The doctors do sometimes provide good feedback to patients but on the whole there is too much to change.

Dr. Bivona is an excellent family physician and internist. I would not make a move on any major medical question without his input. I trust his judgment, and his diagnoses and treatments have been very accurate and effective. The only downside is it can take a while to get an appointment and waiting times are usually long. That's the downside of the fact he spends time with his patients. It can take 30-45 minutes or more to get in to see him after you arrive. So far, it's been well worth the wait.

Dr. Bivona is the old fashioned doctor that everyone yearns for, with the exception of having the knowledge of today's necessities in medicine. He keeps up with the latest in medicine, as well as, having a keen observation of his patient's ailments. He is compassionate, caring, and everything one would want in a doctor.

Personable, knowledgeable, nice office staff/environment. Well respected and liked among his peers and colleagues. My only negative is that I had to wait 10 days for routine bood test results (as an RN, I know results come Iin within 24-48hrs max). I also had to call the office to follow up on the tests. Would still HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I'm a new patient and initially I liked the doctor, but he never followed up after the visit (as he promised) I've been trying to get a call back from the doctor for the past 3 weeks but not having much luck. have placed about 7 calls to the office and every time I'm told that doctor will call me back today... how do you define 'today' doc?

HE IS THE BEST DOCTOR.. NEVER WENT TO SOMEONE SO KNOWLEDGEABLE. I WOULD WAIT HOURS IF I HAD TO FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

It doesn't get any better than this in terms of quality, caring, time spent, etc. Dr. Bivona is an excellent physician-personable, old enough to have experience, young enough to be up on the latest healthcare info and ensure a long-term committment to his patients. I would highly recommend him.
