Dr. Boehmler and Sarah were the BEST I could have hoped for. No one ever asks to have breast cancer, but I found myself in that situation and had to choose between implants or my own body tissue. I chose DIEP flap reconstruction for my double mastectomy, and when it was recommended that I go to Breast Reconstruction Associates I didn't hesitate. Their website was full of good information, and I could immediately tell that they truly are the experts in this field. Sarah jumped through hoops to get me in for surgery and Dr. Boehmler did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my new breasts and how the scars are healing. I'm 11 months out of surgery now, and I feel like a new woman. Breast cancer took my breasts, but Dr. Boehmler gave me even better ones! I couldn't be more grateful!

Dr. Boehmler handled my DIEP Flap reconstruction after my breast cancer treatment. He is a kind surgeon with an amazing bedside manner (one of the few male doctors I dealt with in my BC diagnosis/treatment who seemed to understand what this disease does to a woman's psyche). Aside from his great bedside manner, he is highly skilled. My procedure went very well, and I've healed beautifully. My scars are barely noticeable, one year after surgery. My primary oncologists have remarked that they've never seen a DIEP flap heal this well. The entire staff at his office is fantastic. If you're looking for reconstruction after a mastectomy, I can't recommend Dr. Boehmler highly enough.

In early 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had the good fortune of having an amazing breast surgeon, who recommended Dr. Boehmler and his team including Sarah Black, his Physician Assistant, who was also instrumental in my recovery. Not only did they display profound patience and caring for me, but they did remarkable work. They turned what could have been one of the darkest moments in my life (and certainly was a very scary time) into a positive and supportive experience. My outcomes were fantastic; they provided holistic recommendations to me for my overall health and took amazing care of me. It was a blessing to have such great, caring, and talented professionals taking care of me every step of the way.

Dr. Boehmler, Sarah and his entire staff were absolutely amazing during my breast cancer reconstruction journey. I could of not asked for a better team of professionals. They were very compassionate and always made me feel like my care was their top priority. Dr. Boehmler did a wonderful job on my breast reconstruction and I could not be happier with the results. He gave back to me what cancer took away, and for that, I will always be eternally grateful.

They made the experience so much easier. Dr. Boehmler is one of nicest people and really cares about what you're going through. The whole staff up there is wonderful. I can actually say my breasts look better than before my mastectomy.

Dr. Boehmler creates an easy going atmosphere that allows you to be at ease, even in a normally stressful situation. He did a beautiful job and I couldn’t be happier. Sarah is truly the heart and soul of the office and never makes you feel stupid about even the silliest of questions. My biggest fear was making the wrong decision on size and what I wanted done; Dr. Boehmler made the decisions so easy by giving his expert opinion without pressure. I love that they offer non synthetic solutions that wouldn’t interfere with some other health concerns.

Dr. Boehmler I wanted to let you know that you are a truly great person and surgeon. A few of the reasons I say this are: 1. When I called for an appointment, you were on your way home but decided to wait for me (almost an hour) so I could be seen as soon as possible. 2. You were great in explaining the procedure and answered any questions I had without making me feel rushed. 3. You did not just “do the surgery” – I had an issue and you had to think out of the box to get a solution and it worked wonderfully! 4. I could tell you are a perfectionist and you think through all the present and future needs to give the best outcome possible. 5. You have excellent staff assisting you. I worked with Sarah and she did an excellent job of checking up on me and answering my questions. She was a great resource of knowledge and support! 6. My experience with Dr. Boehmler & his office was exceptional. This was obviously a scary & difficult time and the way Dr. B explained the reconstruction options and what to expect made the whole process less so. I actually began to look forward to it because I knew he would do his very best to make me look good. He's very open, honest & thoughtful. Will give you his best opinion as if you were part of his family. He brings the best people in to work with him and I'm glad he was my doctor!

Dr Boehmler is more then a surgeon he is an artist. You wont find anyone better. He has a great personality and takes all the fear out of what is already a scary time . I did not experience anything negative throughout my whole treatment. You will not find a better doctor.
