Dr. James V Bonds JR., MD

This doctor is AWFUL. He refused to give me a prescription for a condition that I have been diagnosed with for over 20 years now. He said he wanted to “verify” that I still had the disorder. I told him that I was tested less than a year before seeing him, and the specialist, who is nationally recognized, said I had the disorder. He didn’t want to trust the specialist I went to for the test. Instead, he wanted me to use a doctor he knew. Seemed to me like he was trying to get a referral fee for sending me there. Luckily, the specialist I saw before this quack, called me in a prescription, and did so knowing it was being done behind this doctors back, after I had to call and explain what Bonds had said. The specialist ended up calling Bonds’ office and Told me that Bonds’ office was very rude to them. I have never been back to this guy. Wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy.

James Bonds has been my internist for three years, going on four. My preference is for a physician that treats me like and equal and as smart as he is. Always takes the time to answer my questions, provide background information, and give thorough explanations. He is very concerned about cost and unnecessary procedures/tests. Dr. Bonds can be very businesslike and might come off as brusque, but he truly cares about his patients. He assured me that if I was in the hospital he would take care of me not some stranger.

Dr Bonds has been my internal medicine doc for about 15 years. I think of him as a friend a confidant. He doesn't waste time, however he is always willing to listen to my questions. Doesn't recommend useless tests. He is very concerned about the costs associated with medical care and willing to help. Easy to reach after hours. I've seen lots of doctors over the years, James is one of the best.

Very thorough doctor very nice staff pleasure to deal with

Plain and simple I was denied proper care due to the Doctor's political agenda. Had to spend 10 minutes listening to him rant about his personal opinions on politics. Not acceptable behavior for a medical practitioner. I recommend seeing a different doctor with YOUR needs as their priority!

Very disappointed in this doctors "eagerness to hep". Called in for help and to get some answers and he hid behind his receptionist, refusing to speak with me. Very set is his ways and requires patients to conform to his rules to qualify for assistance and care. General lack of respect and courtesy to paying customers. I would not recommend him if your used to doctors actually having a genuine concern for his clients.

I love the medical care Dr. Bonds provided. He is friendly, respectful, caring and professional

Dr. Bonds is an excellent family physician. We have been with him for years.

Dr. Bonds has been my internist for a long time. He saw me through my breast cancer and got me referred quickly to other good doctors. I would recommend him.
