Dr. James Aloysius Boozan, MD

My first appointment was on Jan. 29, 2019. Dr. Boozan was not available so I was seen for a full evaluation by both his Nurse Practitioner and his Audiologist. Both of these practitioners were excellent - highly professional, very friendly and completely attentive to the concerns I raised regarding my long-standing hearing problem. I was given a full examination and evaluation and I was given all the time I needed, by both these practitioners, to discuss and clarify my questions. I left this visit with a clear understanding of my treatment options, a pair of trial hearing aids, and with the names of specialists available for additional consultation if necessary. Mainly, I left with confidence that I've found a treatment team on whom I can rely to provide me with excellent ongoing care and support for all my hearing issues in the future. They have my highest recommendation.

In 2015, My husband was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. Dr. Boozan treated my husband from 2015 to 2018. My husband had a trach. Dr. Boozan provided quality care to my husband, was always transparent and responsive.

Excellent diagnostic tests

My sister has been working with the audiologist, Dr. Yasmin Battat in Dr. Boozan's practice, and she has been wonderful. My sister has dexterity problems with her hands, and Dr. Battat has been very patient and understanding, making sure she acquires the best possible type of hearing aid and fit that suits her specific health issues. Dr. Battat's expertise and positive, patient and calming manner has been turning this into a happy and gratifying experience. I would definitely recommend her for anyone needing a hearing aid.

Dr. Boozan spent time explaining the relationship of the EN&T to my diagnosis, was very friendly and attentive, answered all of my questions, and never rushed me. Was likely the best experience I have ever had with a doctor.

In these days where doctors are squeezed for time, Dr Boozan took the time we needed to have my daughter's and my own situation reviewed in detail, one right after the other (in my case, he managed to squeeze me in without a prior appointment!!!). This was extra-courtesy. He did it with warmth and care, as a Dr. should treat patients, and with a lot of attention to detail. He asked plenty of detailed questions in a polite, very pleasant manner and listened attentively to our explanations. In each case he explained to each of us in detail what each one of us had, why he was prescribing certain medications, how they should be taken and what to expect. I have been disappointed for years with many doctors, but Dr Boozan was a very pleasant surprise. I know a lot of doctors and I can hardly remember a matching experience. I intend to keep using his services for years to come for my entire family and I strongly recommend others to consult with him.

AVOID!!!!!! He screwed up my surgery, and then blew me off. There is a question as to if he even did one of the procedures at all. Possible fraud.

Dr. Boozan is a fantastic ENT. He is friendly, speaks to you as an equal and has a great sense of humor. Dr. Boozan performed surgery on my son three times (due to chronic ear problems) and each time I felt comfortable with Dr. Boozan. More doctors should have Dr. Boozan's bedside manner.
