Dr. James Edward Boyle, MD

Avoid this Doctor! He is rude. No compassion. He doesn’t explain things well which I later found out it caused an earlier death for a parent. See another Pulmonary Doctor

For many years, my father has been under Dr. Boyle's care for breathing issues. Although he has a history of smoking, he has not smoked in over 35 years. Dr. Boyle has been treating my father for breathing issues and shortness of breath which has continued to get worse over a period of time. Dr. Boyle has prescribed inhalers and weight loss as the solution stating his stomach was pressing on his lungs. (If you could see my father he has a belly but not considered an obese man of his stature). Now after years of my aging parents trust that they were receiving proper care, they have kept their regular office visits, many years of co-payments and insurance payments, being diagnosed by Dr. Boyle with COPD and weight pressing on his lungs, being prescribed inhalers AND multiple x-rays including an earlier x-ray that indicated a small "spot", my father recently made an appointment with our family physician due to a small lump on his neck. He was scheduled for therapy which resulted in… further treatments, MRI/PET scan and biopsy on the lump and now we are dealing with a diagnosis of STAGE 4 LUNG CANCER. Although the cancer might have occurred at some point, if Dr. Boyle had only been proactive instead of nonchalant with my father's care especially when the earlier x-ray indicating an issue and patient with a history of smoking, the diagnosis it could have very possibly been found sooner than STAGE 4. Bottom line: Dr. Boyle has neglected our family's trust as a physician and he has shown no compassion or caring attitude toward patient care and for the life of another. All he has been concerned with is making sure they make their office visits. His office has even had the audacity to suggest he continue to make his appointments but indicating no further x-rays will be necessary. I would absolutely NEVER, EVER, EVER recommend Dr. Boyle for patient care..
