Dr. James Bresch, MD

I'm 76 and have seen 3 Ortho docs over the last several years, all recommending knee replacement. None were able to help me move in that direction out of various fears I have and having people I know who had the surgery, still having issues. Dr. Bresch was patient and explained how the surgery would be done, but suggested other steps prior to making that move. His appreciation for my concern, the confidence he made me feel and my accepting trying the cortisone shots have helped me to in time be able to accept the inevitable surgery a little better. A big step for me.

I'm 3 months after meniscus trimming and feel great.. made 7k run 2 weeks after surgery and play soccer at least twice a week since then also I'm working in construction everyday no pain whatsoever.. very happy to be treated by him Ted from Mount Prospect thank you!

I have been treated by Dr. Bresch a couple of times. Both surgeries were successful. Both times for meniscus repair on each knee. Treatment was the best by a medical staff I have ever received.

He suggested I have both knees replaced at one time. They were both really bad because I had to put it off because of other issues. He did an amazing job. When I got up for the first time the nurse that was walking me down the hall told everyone that walked by that I had just had the surgery done a few hours ago and all were amazed. One of my physical therapists that I went to about a week and a half later called him to tell him what an amazing job he did. My range of motion is far above what most replacements have. I would HIGHLY recommend him. Oh, I am a 65 year old woman. My right knee was so bad the lower bone (don't know the term) had shifted off to the side and I was bow legged......no more. I also liked the fact that he did a 3D MRI before the surgery.

He's great; his staff makes me nuts. Trying to get a n appointment and talk to a person is close to impossible.

Professional; excellent communicator; I had minimal pain after surgery and a speedy recovery.

I drive from Michigan to see Dr Bresch....he is a fabulous doctor.He has done a couple of surgeries on me & have not had any problems with him or his procedures. I have recommended him to a number of people & they have had the same great results as I have. Dr Bresch was referred to me by a very highly respected neurosurgeon ....I am so greatful for that referral.

I went to Dr. Bresch because as a marathon runner I thought he would have insight into my diagnosis. Unfortunately, what I got in return was a severely altered professional and private life.A Heath Insurance Privacy Portability Act violation committed by another doctor in 1986 was further embellished upon by Dr. Bresch. Dr. Bresch and other doctors were warned to stop such activity in 1997. It is 2012 and the hostilities associated with the malicious gossip have continued. It is a sad day in America when indiidvuals cannot trust their health care providers in respecting their privacy. It is even a sadder day when the source of the privacy violations are the doctors themselves. I wish I had never gone to this doctor.

Have seen him many times. Absolutely excellent orthopedic physician.

I wanted to clarify some aspects of a recent rating. It was not Dr. Bresch who ordered the bone scan with the six stress fractures so he would not have had knowledge of that. If he had, I am sure he would have acted upon it properly. Dr. Bresch knows runners and their unending desire to participate in their sport, and I do think he would be comprehensive in his approach to returning them to activity. It was the doctor I saw after him, someone Kahn, who unfortunately was careless. I am sorry if I mislead anyone. I am sure Dr. Bresch will continue to look out for the best interests of athletes.
