Dr. Brown is VERY limited in his experience when it comes to anything outside the norm. If you have simple medical needs. He is very nice and listens. If you have anything complicated or feel it could be outside the norm. Go to someone else.

Very dedicated, kind and willing to take time to solve the problem. Highly recommended!

I have been under the care of Dr. Brown for nearly 20 years. The depth and extent of his medical knowledge, as well as his ability to practice the art of medicine is unmatched to any doctor with whom I have ever sought care. Dr. Brown now practices with Lovelace/ABQ Health Partners because he wanted to get back to his specialty of family practice. More than 95% of his patients adore and trust him with their healthcare and the previous comments are felonious at best -- they probably did not get the pain medications they did not medically need from him, hence their bitter reviews. If you are lucky enough to have Dr. Brown as your primary care physician, consider yourself blessed and in good hands. He takes his time with each patient, listens and looks at the entire picture of his patients' systemic care. The first two comments are so far off base, that it personally offends me, when he such an excellent doctor. Because of his excellence, it can be difficult to get an appointment, but… one in his office he gives you his complete attention and the amount of time needed to tend to your case, rather than what the corporate mandates are forcing him to see a patient every ten minutes. He also has a difficult time with personal follow up due to his huge patient load.

Dr. Brown has excellent bedside manner. He seems kind and very easy to talk to. But I had a congenital disorder and he was so partial to his own ego that he allowed me to become severely ill and did nothing to prevent it. He also mocked me and was impatient with me and undermined my pain-management due to his ignorance of my illness. I did not realize how badly he was mis-managing my care because I was so sick and he seemed so friendly and caring. Now he is working at a pain clinic yet he has no special knowledge about pain medications and pain issues beyond what any GP would know; very limited. I am not bitter, I fear for his patients.

This doctor never took my thyroid issues seriously. He only trusted lab results, not my knowledge of myself and my condition. He began mocking me when he tired of my complaints that I still felt sick & in pain. He never expended much effort addressing the cause of my pain/symptoms. He also mocked my moods, at times. He did not heed the hippocratic oath 'first do no harm' in my case. He allowed me to deteriorate very badly.

Dr Brown willingly spends the necessary time with each patient, which means he's usually running late, since organizations always seem eager to cram too many patients into a workday. But he really is a great doctor.
