Dr. James W. Brown
Dr. James W. Brown has practiced dentistry for 29 years. He is a native of Cleveland Ohio, and a graduate of Fisk University and Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Brown joined the United States Navy as a Dental Officer in 1981. Subsequent to the Navy, Dr. Brown practiced dentistry in Memphis, TN for several years, and relocated to San Antonio. He has served the dental needs of the East side of San Antonio since his arrival in 1990. He began as Dental Director at Ella Austin Health Center in 1990 through 1995. He was a provider at the Windsor Park Mall dental practice from 1995 through 1998, which led to a dental office in the Dellcrest Shopping Plaza from 1998 through 2009, and finally to his own office building on the East side.
During the beginning years, Dr. Brown was an adjunct faculty member at the U.T.H.S.C. Dental School, Department of Community Dentistry. His community services also include free dental screenings at area …schools, community centers and churches. He continues to volunteer his services to patients in need on a regular basis. After 20 years in the area, he remains as committed to his patients as they are to him.
Dr. Brown and his staff treat patients of all ages. They provide a wide range of dental care, including routine cleanings, gum disease treatment, oral surgery, dentures, white fillings, all porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers, and "Zoom" Whitening treatments. Dr. Brown and his staff are committed to providing the best that dentistry has to offer in a warm, professional environment. His goal is to give each patient a beautiful, healthy smile.
