Dr. James Burnett

He is the best; I had two surgeries with him and have no complaints. I love his manners, knowledge, and passion for what he does. The nurses( Melanie, Lauren), Vanessa, the front desk lady, and Cindy, the FMLA ladies, are fabulous. If I could give a review of more than five stars, I would have

Dr. Burnett has performed successful surgery on me and given me multiple injections in my knees and shoulders which relieve bone on bone pain due to arthritis. I trust him and am thankful he is my ortho doc.

I hav had the pleasure of having Dr. Burnett for years now. He has done a few orthoscopic knee surgeries, a couple of knee replacements, (because I broke the first one), some shoulder and elbow shots, with that being said Dr. Burnett and this staff has always treated me and my family with the best care I have ever had from any doctor I have ever visited! Dr. Burnett has the greatest bedside manner, he talks to you like a person, makes you feel welcome, listens to your concerns, and talks you through what he is doing!!

I know this because I too am a doctor, and let me tell you about my experience with Dr. Burnett, as a patient and a doctor. I had an appointment for 3 PM today. I saw that I would be a few minutes late so I had my office manager call his office to notify them. I arrived at 3:07 PM and was directed to the proper sign in desk where I singed in at exactly 3:11 PM (you have to mark the time on the sign in sheet). The nice receptionist told me that I had already been marked a "NO SHOW", despite the fact that they have a 15 minute grace period. I politely asked his receptionist to double check this. She returned and said that the doctor cancelled me and wouldn't change his mind. His office manager was apologetic and told me that the doctor had to be elsewhere. So Dr. Burnett, I have never met you, and I will never come back. One doctor to another, I don't care… if you have to see your girlfriend, play golf, or whatever. You are a public servant. You are a doctor to take care of patients with compassion and understanding. Canceling on me today was arrogant and wrong. I am glad you cancelled on me for an initial visit and not during surgery. I can only imagine with your lack of commitment that you might find something else you would rather do in the middle of the case. What if a new movie came out that you wanted to see? What about a new girlfriend? What if you needed a drink? Thank God you only hurt me by wasting my time, and a one hour car drive to see you. Doctor, it is time for you to take your responsibilities and commitments to you patients seriously. Scott E.
