Dr. James Joseph Burns, MD

I absolutely LOVE this doctor!

He is really great. He cares and he follows up as well.

Dr. Burns has been one of the best things that happened to my grandson. Damien is ADHD and Autistic with several other issues thrown in the mix. Dr. Burns takes time to be sure all of our needs are met and my grandson loves him as do I. When rating him I tried to hit 5 stars but it did not happen. Dr. Burns is top notch in our books.

Dr. Burns is a very caring and concerned doctor. He takes a very personal interest in my son. My son has mental disabilities and other health issues. At my sons visits Dr. Burns ask many questions so he can know what has been going on between visits so he will know what he needs to do to treat my son. Dr burns is always respectful and listens with a very open ear to any of my concerns or questions. I never feel like he is rushing to get through a visit with us. The journey with my son has been a crazy one with lots of ups and downs. Dr Burns has been there as a great encourager and team member for my son and me.

This man has a communication problem. He appears to be unable to properly operate within the computer program his office is currently using for clinical notes, RX and lab work orders, etc. He chatters, jumping from topic to topic. His verbal patient communication is incomplete regarding his expectations on lab work. He does not seem to remember things he stated at earlier appointments, so must assume he failed to note the info in his clinical notes. He appears to be unable to assist with physical problems of patients with mental health problems, despite his belief otherwise. He acts as if his office has discovered fire, or invented the wheel, when they diagnose an emetophobic patient as having OCD. He was told at the initial visit that the patient was emetophobic. Some OCD behavior is associated with severe emetophobia... He disregarded lab results from another provider, stating they could not possibly be right. I have every reason to believe that they were correct since the… problem surfaced again in his lab work after the RX from the earlier provider was discontinued per his/Burn's recommendation.
