Dr. James Michael Callard, DC

This was my first time ever going in to a chiropractors office because I have been having persistent back problems and in the past few days have been in so much pain that I knew I needed to see someone. I was late which was my bad but that didn’t have to do with how awful the assessment was. First of all assumed I was his pal and made me feel very uncomfortable kinda like he was brushing and smiling everything off. (Which of course I love friendly people but this just felt like I was invalidated) The assessment of my back was pushing down on my arm until it “gave out” to know what side of my lower back was causing the problem and then persisted to tell me he knew exactly what was causing the problem, my sacrum (pretty much your tailbone) was turning into my hip, and that he has been doing this longer than I’ve been alive so he knows what he’s doing. But I knew better, It was so fake! No X-rays no nothing just had me stood up and pushed down on my arms with some very FAKE force to get… me to think he was onto something and have me say “oh yeah I can totally see the difference you’re right!” When I knew it was just for show and he wasn’t actually pushing. Told me I needed to do something like 6 rounds of readjustments and appointments to fix my problem and that he sees it all the time. I didn’t show my discomfort as I left feeling very upset and SUPER played for a fool while still being in SO much pain. The kicker is I went to a different Chiro the same day and he did a SUPER thorough exam of questioning and prodding for tender locations and movement, and full X-ray. His original assumption was proven correct, NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SACRUM, that I have functional sclerosis and one of my lumbar vertebrae is slightly out of place. He proceeded to get me on the hydro massage bed, readjusted me, and finished everything up with some electro shock therapy which helped so so much. I do NOT recommend Dr. James Callard.
