Dr. James Cameron moved to the US from Zimbabwe in 1997 and completed high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He attended Furman University where he played tennis while majoring in Health & Exercise Science. Dr. Cameron earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Chicago. Following this, he completed a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California.

Dr. Cameron has replaced both of my hips, and if I had any more to replace, I would certainly go to him! :-) He is knowledgeable, conscientious, careful, respectful, kind, and concerned for my longterm health.

He was a great surgeon, but was horrible bed side manners. Medication got mixed up from seeing 2 different dr. He acted as if we were drug addicted people . Seemed very judgmental towards my husband being over weight. Great surgery, just not nice

I really have a lot of respect for this man. He doesn't sugar coat anything. But at the same time he is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He cares about his patients, he also preformed a total knee replacement on me. I'm 36. He did a great job, I was up and walking within the second day. This man is the BEST doctor I have ever talked to. I am so glad that I let Dr. Cameron do my knee replacement. I recommend him to anyone who is considering having a partial or total knee replacement.

While I had to wait over a month to see Dr. Cameron, it was worth it. Dr. Cameron has textbook bedside manners: he's an excellent, active listener, precise and concise in explaining x-Ray results, causes, remedies, etc. Well-spoken, articulate, transparent, Dr. Cameron earns a 10.

Had a hip replacement by Dr. Cameron. He was professional, straight-forward, and skilled. I never felt rushed by him. He answered any and all questions kindly. In 2 months I was back to all of my normal activities. I would HIGHLY recommend him.
