Dr. James Everett Carinder JR., DO

As the title reads, I trusted this man with my life, and he did not disappoint. I was always treated with care and respect by him and his staff.

He finds what you're going through to be very amusing.

Dr Carinder is kind, caring, and a great doctor who doesn't mess around when it comes to cancer. I have breast cancer which has moved to my bones. He has always aggressively treated this disease & I wouldn't want to see any other doctor.

I've been going to Dr. Carinder since 2011 & have received excellent care & services. I've never had anything that would have needed a follow up after the visit. You need to put a n/a there

I am sure that Dr. Carinder is a successful oncologist, but he does not treat his patients as human beings once he has capitalized on the chemo treatment. My mother is post=treatment, actually dying, as she is now wheelchair bound, and incontinent, with a multitude of problems. Dr. Carinder delivers platitudes, assuring her that she looks great, while she actually looks like a corpse! My sisters and I are very disillusioned by the lack of care that our Mom is receiving. We are most unhappy with the lack of care at Mary Bird Perkins in Covington. I was warned by friends about the lack of care at this facility, and am sorry that I did not heed the warnings! Shame on Dr. Carinder for writing my mother off!

Dr. Carinder is a wonderful doctor if you are looking for someone that is extremely smart and is quick to take the steps needed for the best treatment possible! That being said, do not expect him to be very friendly with you or take much time out at all to answer questions you may have...and he is extremely blunt. Does not seem to take feelings into consideration hardly at all. But he is probably one of the most intelligent oncologists in Louisiana and will do what needs to be done.

I was diagnosed in 2012 with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. I chose Dr. Carinder as my doctor on the advice of a friend, and I could not be more pleased. He is very knowledgeable, and a person that you feel you can trust and confide in. Every six months I go for Rituxan infusions at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Covington, and am doing great. I highly recommend Dr. Carinder. He is an excellent oncologist.

Dr C has been great. He makes me feel comfortable & always asks me how I am feeling & where do I hurt. Whenever I have called his office with a question or needing pain meds his assistant, Bev, always gets back to me within the same day. I have breast cancer with mets to my bones. He has treated me with Adriamycin, Cytoxen, & Taxotere. I am presently taking Tamoxifen to stop the production of estrogen which feeds my cancer. It's been a year & 4 months since I was first diagnosed.
