Summary
I originally hail from the center of the country, in the Land of Aws, also known as Kansas. I knew from the very young age of nine that I wanted to be a doctor, and strove to that end throughout my schooling. I left Kansas to go to college in Dallas, Texas, but returned to Kansas for medical school and residency. After completing a residency in anesthesiology, I stayed on as a faculty member and assistant professor of anesthesia until I moved to California and joined Kaiser Permanente 22 years ago. I am single and live with my pets. I love working on my house and in the yard. I love tropical flowers, and I grow orchids and plumeria, the lei flowers. I also love animals and travel. I have been to northern Canada four times to be with the polar bears of western Hudson Bay.
