Dr. James Andrew Carroll, MD

I would be extra cautious seeing this provider. I have had concerns that my child had celiac disease from when she was 3. This was several years back. Her grandmother had been diagnosed with it. My daughters height and weight has been very slow over the years. Her growth has been slow and weight struggled. Now at 8 years old she still has short stature. Mr. Carroll wouldn’t run any tests when she was being seen by him. He had suggested keeping a food journal. Now at 8 years old my daughter was diagnosed off base with a different provider and she has celiac. We have done blood tests, bone stems, and seen a nutritionist. I do not know if Mr. Carroll’s knowledge has changed in regards to what celiac is. Her new pediatrician also informed me of possible cystic fibrosis in which I didn’t know what it was at the time. As a parent that had to fight for anyone to take me and my child seriously, I reflect back to the services provided by Mr. Carroll and he failed my daughter. Ask your… questions when seeing providers. Keep pushing for answers.
