The BEST Pulmonologist in the state. Worked years tirelessly with myself and my wife. He is a life saver. Caring, Empathetic, and always timely and even calls & checks up on us at night after procedures.

Been a patient of his for 15 years. Lately his office will not schedule you to see him they schedule you to see a nurse practitioner. Recently has phenomena and still could not get in to see him. This is very discouraging to continue being his patient especially when you see the nurse practitioner but your insurance is charged for an office visit and the office will not get you in to see him even when you have phenomena !! I was put on hold to make an appointment for 20 minutes.

Doctor orders tests/scans and will not give you results in a timely manner . Leaves you hanging for days and days with the results in "in his tray" per his nurse . Inexcusable. Too busy to take 5 minutes to give you results. Impossible to see in a timely manner even if you are his patient.

After being very sick, he treated my wife as though she was his most important patient he had. There was not a quick fix for her, but he stuck with her. She is so much better. God bless him.

Dr. Carruth has been seeing me for about 6 yrs now & has always been straight foward w me but n a very caring way . Bout 3 yrs ago , Dr. Jim & the Lord above actually saved my life after being airlifted to Jackson Regional . I have the Best Pulmonary care & encorage anyone w a lung problem to see him .
