Dr. James Seong Choi, MD

Dr. Choi was thorough from the very first visit. My husband was diagnosed with bile duct cancer which is extremely aggressive, so we had a lot of questions. He patiently answered them all and took the time to further educate us so we could make life altering decisions together. When removing the cancerous lesion my husband needed whipple surgery. We had already been prepared that this might be a possibility and what this surgery would entail. It is an EXTREMELY complicated surgery that Dr. Choi completed expertly! The long surgical incision was amazingly clean and healed better than expected. My husband recovered ahead of schedule. Nearly 2 years later, he is thriving and is still cancer free! Every specialist who has evaluated his health or performed other procedures have been astounded at Dr. Choi’s expertise. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Choi and cannot sing his praises enough.

Dr. Choi may be a good doctor and surgeon but his skills with his patient are very poor. He is caring and concerned but does not listen to his patient nor does he seem informed about why the patient was sent to see him. Further, he offers only the minimum of information and is inpatient and anxious to end the visit rather than engaging in discussion and answering questions.
