I have been a patient of Dr. Church's for several years and the last surgeries he did on me was in 2008 he tryed to make me a J pouch so I could have my ilestomy reversed but was told later he had to stop after 5 hours because they lost me on the table and then I had to have another surgery because He told me I was bleeding out faster than they could put it in me and when they took me back to surgery I was told I had a hematoma clear across my abdomen and that it was a miracle I was there some time later talking to them so I think Dr.James M. Church is a Wonderful Doctor if not I wouldn't be tellling this today !! Thank You Dr. Church.....

Dr. Church saved my colon! After having a colonoscopy here in Huntsville, the surgeon found 6 large polyps. Due to their location, the only option was to have a subtotal colectomy done. The local surgeon was going to remove all of my colon except 12" best case and 6" as a worse case. So he was removing at least 4 feet. I was told there were no other options as the polyps were too large to remove. My colon future was not bright. Thank goodness for Google! My husband and I researched and found Dr. James Church. I flew to Cleveland Clinic last week and had my colonoscopy performed Friday morning. He removed ALL of my LARGE polyps and I walked out with my colon! I was very lightly sedated and awake which was much better than being put to sleep, especially with recovery time. From check in to being released, I was there 1 hour in total. I walked out, went to eat breakfast and have felt fabulous since then! We flew home the next day. All of Dr. Church's staff are wonderful. From… office staff to nurses, I have been treated very well, questions answered quickly and very little wait time for appointments. Dr. Church was very patient, kind and gentle. I'll never be able to thank him enough for saving my colon!!!

Dr Church evaluated and performed surgery for rectal cancer. Had a doom and gloom prognosis from another surgeon prior. Dr Church assured me I had a very good chance for full recovery. seventeen years later, he was correct.

Dr. Church did a colonoscopy on me without anesthesia. It was very painful, I asked him to stop, that I couldn't tolerate the pain and he told me he wasn't finished and continued to cut out polyps. I was very violated and will NEVER be a patient of his again or recommend him to anyone, not even an animal deserves that kind of treatment. He had no compassion.

Dr. Church treated me over 30 years ago. I would recommend him due to his professionalism and very caring doctor. Very knowledgeable. I feel I am alive today due to the care Dr. Church provided me with hernia and colon cancer surgery.

Dr. Church is the best doctor I have ever been to. He is soft spoken, courteous, compassionate and professional. He has performed several surgeries on me and has always done an outstanding job. If you need a surgeon for any bowel or colo-rectal problems, I recommend him highly.
