Dr. James William Cleveland, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Cleveland for over 20 years. He always takes time to listen and is very through. His referrals to specialists are always top notch.

He is second to none.

I began seeing Dr. Cleveland and his NP after our beloved Doctor Mark V died. I am very satisfied after each visit in his office.He answers all my questions and I never feel rushed. I think he is a very good physician and his NP is also extremely good. His office staff could be more friendly and efficient.

As a nurse working at Reston Hospital years ago, I asked the other nurses who they would recommend as a PCP and they said Dr Cleveland! They loved his care for his patients, his bedside manner and the respect he showed the nurses. I chose him years ago and have not been disappointed. He truly cares about you and spends a lot of time with you which then causes him to run late with his appointments. I don't mind that though because I know I will get the time from him that I need as well. My recommendation is to make an early appointment so you are not involved in the backup. I did not give him 5 stars because it is hard to get an appointment with him. However, I do like his nurse practictioner. I have noticed some negative comments about his staff and while I would agree with that in the past, I do not agree now.

I have seen this physician for 18 years, continuing with him even when I moved more than 1 1/2 hours drive away.

Although You may have to wait a while to see Dr.Cleveland, it is definatelg worth it. Dr.Cleveland is one of the top docs in the area and his performance proves it. The staff is a little rough, but what docs office isn't like that. He has a wonderful NP and and fantastic PA is you can't seem to get a appointment with him. He never rushes you out of an appointment and makes sure to spend the time he needs to give a proper diagnosis and he doesn't cut corners. Overall, he is the person I would trust with my life.

I had obligations and couldn't wait any longer than 45 minutes. Therefore I wasn't seen.

Awesome bedside manners--above 4 stars! Spends as much time as you want him to besides the lengthy time he already spends without asking for it--unfortunately, this adds to the wait time which I am willing to do...

Overrated.You'll wait & wait & wait!Staff gossips like mad!Follow up is poor to bloody unlikely.Refills-getting them is a nightmare, because staff takes a very casual attitude calling you back, unless you're rich or another Doctor's family member- you're persona non grata HERE, folks!!!!

Dr. Cleveland is the best Internist and family doctor ever! He has been my family doctor for over 15 years and has consistently provided superb care with a wonderful bedside manner. His marvelous care throughout my mothers' multiple illnesses helped extend her quality of life. He is one in a million!
