One office visit, and he explained well, communicated clearly, and gave me a sense of confidence for a future procedure.

My initial consultation was comically brief (around 90 seconds). I was contacted via voicemail more than three weeks after my endoscopy with no follow up about my condition. Dr. Corkum and his staff seemed pleasant, but I would not return.

His arrogance and inability to do his job was disappointing to say the least. I do believe he is just basically lazy and has no clue on how to do a simple task. He was rude and condescending . I was told not to call him nor to ask about my test results stating "you wouldn't understand them anyway". I did end of calling and was rudely brushed off by him on the phone and dismissed. He is a poor excuse for a physician. I went to him based on past recommendations which was several years ago. He was at one time a very good physician. Maybe it's time he hang up his shingle and retire as he obviously has no desire to be what he once was. I will attribute his disgusting behavior to burn out. I would never want to see anyone else treated by someone who has no respect for his patients and is basically too lazy to do his job. I have since gone to another physician who was able to take care of my problem in a 24 hour period.
