Dr. James Costner, MD

After basically getting refused any help by multiple place including previous physician, Dr Costner at the end of his day made an exception to add me as a new patient. I had been experience extreme BP fluxing daily between 145/95 up to 202/132 plus many other miserable symptoms. He actually listening to me not telling me it was anxiety or in my head. He took care to check out all extremities and flow patterns and prescribed the correct dose and meds that had stabilized my condition within an hour. He also told me to call asap if any changes. He is an amazing and talented physician. That visit convinced me that not all doctor are in too much of a hurry to be humane. A big hearted individual and very blessed to have found him. I'm actually excited about my health now. \0/

Doctor Costner has been my doctor for many years. He is patient, kind, compassionate and competent. Found my non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and my diabetes. I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Always friendly, explains everything well and follows through with everything he says he is going to do!

He has been my doctor for 21 years - I could not ask for a better family physician

I had an appt with Dr. Costner. After waiting for 45 min with a disabled son, one of the receptionists came out to tell me they were overbooked and they would need to reschedule my appt. It had taken me 40 minutes to drive to the office. Never even saw the doctor.

Dr. Costner is an exceptional doctor. We are truly fortunate to have him here.

Unfortunately I would have to disagree with both reviews. I was referred to Dr. Costner 3 years ago and always found him to be very cold. I finally changed doctors after months of misdiagnosis and now find myself with a serious health condition which could have been avoided months prior if only he had taken time to actually listen to my symptoms and history. I always felt like I had to apologize just for making an appointment and taking up his time. Two examples, first visit his words were "I don't need to know your history, just get me the diagnostic code", and second that I could not possibly be getting physical therapy if he had not referred me - which is not the case in NC, I had been in PT successfully for two months. I personally believe it is near time for him to retire. I'm so glad I moved on.

This has been my physician since I was 14 or 15 years old. I am now 32. I can not begin to say what a blessing Dr.Costner has been to me and my family. He has always gone above and beyond for all his patients, I know this because I have referred my entire family and so many of my colleagues. Due to a new job in the RTP area, I had to relocate and knew I needed to find a back up physician that was closer to my new location. It has been impossible to find any physician that can come close to his compassion and quality of care. I have been to some of the top hospitals in the country(i.e. Duke, UNC, etc.) trying to find a physician that comes close. Needless to say, after going through 4 different Md's specializing in Family Medicine, I still find myself driving 3 hours back to Dr.Costner for the best in quality healthcare. Thank you Dr. James Mitchell Costner for all of your compassion and dedication over the years.

All the nurses are so nice in this facility its very very easy to get an appointment and the wait time is amazing im usually in and out of the office in around 45 minutes.
